Everybody, unfortunately, including Navlaan.
So that's Dark Souls 2! I talked about it review-style during the last couple of episodes, but in summary it's a great game; if anything more engagingly fun to play than Dark Souls 1. It isn't quite the masterpiece of the first game in the series (second if you count Demon's Souls); my feelings may be coloured by the sense of exploration and wonder at the first game, but even so, I think DS2 doesn't have quite the brilliance of design and theme, and its boss fights are not as memorable either.
It is a true Souls game, though; providing the discovery and challenge that most high budget games shy away from. It's a game that doesn't treat you like an idiot and just lets you find out what you can and try to achieve what you can in an atmospheric world of cleverly dangerous situations. It also makes many small mechanical and quality of life improvements; multiplayer in particular works very well, having only gone backwards in that red invasions are slightly too difficult/infrequent.
I liked DS2 better than almost all other games and I absolutely don't regret spending $50 or 50 hours on it; I'll probably keep playing for a while longer, too. I don't expect to replay it like five times (as I did with DS1) but you never know.
Queen Blythe of whichever new land comes after Drangleic will not be a good ruler, I think, but in this world of cycles, flame and ember and dark, that isn't actually possible. So: whatever. What are you going to do, turn into a dragon about it?
